new issue is out

ACM 46 is an issue dedicated to the theme of “Translation”. In this issue we feature our 2005 CLA Winners, as well as work by some of the finest translators of literature in the Chicago area and beyond. Translations by Chris Glomski, Idra Novey, Adam Sorkin, and Jackie White are featured in the Poetry section, and represent the culmination of years of hard work. ACM 46 also has new work from Ellen Litman, Peter Markus, Jeff Parker, Emily Shelton, Nin Andrews, Heidi Gotz, Alex Lemon, Kimberly Lojek, Bryan Penberthy, Nancy Jensen, Maggie Kast, and Gale Renee Walden, And finally, we’ve got an interview with Chicago’s own Aleksandar Hemon, as well as book reviews and illustrations galore. You can find more specific information here. And you can order it here.

Left Field Press and Another Chicago Magazine strives to publish work by emerging and lesser known writers of varied cultural and individual backgrounds and experiences, as well as by better-known writers whose work looks beyond the artistic and academic to include and address the larger world. Our view of small press publishing requires that we print not only the work of established writers, but especially that of writers whose merits have as yet been neglected or not discovered by mainstream publications and their audiences.
